Meet Steve Masztaler

Steve is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Colorado. He serves the Denver-Metro area as well as the foothill communities west of Denver.

Steve is a Colorado native who grew up in Arvada. He attended Regis University where he graduated with a degree in Business. After graduating, Steve began a corporate career, landing at Standard and Poor’s, where he held a variety of positions throughout his 10-year tenure at the company, including roles in data analysis, client facing product support, and internal sales support.

EXPERIENCED

Corporate Background

Whether it was working externally with investment bankers, hedge fund managers, or other Wall Street finance firms, or internally with off-shore teams, his peers, or senior to executive level management, Steve was passionate about providing them with the highest level of service possible. Steve’s passion for helping clients and colleagues was rewarded in 2013 when he was chosen as an S&P President’s Circle Award Winner, an annual award which is voted on by colleagues and given by the company as recognition of outstanding performance.

I always thought of myself as the connector. Colleagues from all different departments would come to me because they knew that even if I didn’t have the answer, they could rely on me to help the find someone who did have the answer.

Real Estate Investor

Steve’s real estate journey began while he was still working at S&P. He partnered with his cousin and they dove head-first into the world of real estate investing where they would buy distressed properties in order to fix them up and sell them. After completing several successful fix-and-flips, Steve decided to go “all-in” on real estate.

Licensed Broker

In 2018 he left his corporate career at S&P and became a licensed real estate broker. Today, Steve’s focus is solely on working with clients as an agent to buy and sell real estate. However, doing what he does best, he still leverages his fix-and-flip experience and industry connections in order to provide his clients with the highest level of service.

Volunteer Firefighter

Along with being a full-time real estate agent, Steve is also a volunteer Firefighter with Genesee Fire Rescue in Golden, Colorado. He holds State certifications for Firefighting and Hazardous Materials and also holds a National Red Card certification for Wildland Firefighting. Like real estate, firefighting is a job that requires constant and consistent training.

“After every call, we huddle up back at the station and do an after action review where we discuss what happened, what went well, and, most importantly, how we can improve, regardless of rank.” Steve is adamant about constantly improving his process and learning from others. From his corporate career, to real estate investment, and now a full-time agent, Steve has learned that there are multiple ways to achieve an outcome. Every transaction in real estate is different and every client has different needs. Steve is dedicated to working with each client individually in order to understand their goals and tailor the process accordingly.

Steve lives in the foothills community of Genesee, nestled between Evergreen and Golden, with his wife. In their free time, they enjoy doing all of the Colorado things such as hiking, skiing, road tripping, and enjoying beers on a patio. Steve and his wife love to travel as well.
